Date: July 18, 2005 Subject: Cache Valley Electric awarded electrical construction contract for Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah Cache Valley Electric has been awarded a contract to provide the electrical construction services for the new Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. Okland Construction, headquartered in Salt Lake City, is the General Contractor for the project. This new medical facility is owned and operated by Intermountain Health Care. This campus is being built on 110-acres and will be the largest hospital in the Intermountain West. This new 1.2 million square foot campus includes a 15 story hospital with 468 beds as well as 5 institute centers. Currently, Cache Valley Electric’s contract includes three buildings; the Hospital, the Heart and Lung Building, and the Plant Operations building, which total approximately 880,000 sq. ft. CVE will be responsible for all of the interior lighting, power distribution, emergency power, normal power, critical power and the essential power. Additionally, CVE has been awarded the site lighting package contract that consists of the entire exterior lighting of the hospital and parking lots. Cache Valley Electric has also been awarded the Technology contract, in partnership with Siemens Building Technologies, for the entire hospital campus which consists of the building automation and controls package, the voice and data cabling infrastructure, CCTV, nurse call, access control, lighting control and fire alarm. We will also install all of the fiber optic cable for the communications backbone system. The duration of this project is anticipated to be 24 months, with the completion scheduled for July 2007. |
